Ambassador

The best way to groom your hair and scalp every day, without splitting or tearing your hair. Ambassador of Germany’s 100% Boar Bristle Oval Paddle Brush is made from humanely sheared farm-raised boar hair and hand set into a fine wooden handle made from non-endangered trees. These brushes are designed to last and are gentle on the hair. Anti-static, easily cleaned, and a traditional personal necessity.

Why make the switch to a Boar Bristle Brush? A boar bristle brush distributes your hair’s natural oils away from your roots and down to the ends of your hair, hydrating and coating the hair in the protective oils created by our scalps. The result is roots that no longer look oily (perfect for those looking to go shampoo-free) and healthy, frizz-free hair.

How To Clean a Boar Bristle Brush: Since Boar Bristle Brushes distribute your natural oils from your scalp throughout the rest of your hair, they will need occasional cleaning. You can tell when it is time to clean your Boar Bristle Brush when the bristles start to look grey and dusty. To clean the bristles, first run a fine toothed comb along the edges of the brush, starting from the base of the bristles to the ends to loosen the hair from the brush. Then drag the comb through the brush until all or most of the hair and excess sebum has been removed. Prepare a bath of very warm water and a dollop of sulfate-free shampoo or gentle soap in a container that will allow you to soak the bristles without submerging the rest of the brush. Allow the brush to soak for about 10 minutes. then rinse the bristles in cold water. Pat off any excess water using a towel and let the Boar Bristle Brush dry completely before using again.

A well-made hairbrush can last for years. Hairbrushes with natural boar bristles have been preferred for centuries. Each of our Ambassador of Germany Hairbrushes has been carefully handcrafted to provide years of satisfying use.
