As a teenager, I used to have terrible acne and blemishes. I was always self conscious
and unhappy with the way my skin looked, even as I got older. When I started working at The
Soap Opera, I talked with Stacey, one of the owners, about how I could change my facial care
routine, and clear up my skin. After exploring some of the amazing skin care products at TSO (The Soap Opera), I
discovered a facial wash that changed my life. My skin cleared up in just a week, and it has
stayed this way for almost a year now.
I use Duke Cannon’s Hard Working Man Facial Wash. While I am not a man, I am
certainly hard working, and this facial cleanser is the best there is. The packaging is hysterical,
with plenty of jokes about masculinity and manliness, but the truly impressive part is the product
itself. It is not drying, but it helps remove oil and dirt from the skin. It has exfoliating bits in it that
are gentle enough to not damage the skin, but they rub off all of that extra dead skin that can
lead to oil build up. The cleanser is full of eucalyptus and citrus, which help to sooth and clean,
while also smelling unbelievably yummy.
I’ve completely cut out all of the excessively drying components that are usually a part of
drugstore facial washes, and my skin couldn’t be happier! I’ve explored other Duke Cannon
products, like their shaving cream and bar soap, and I am extremely impressed. Their brand is
hysterical enough to give their products as gifts, but the products themselves are amazing. Truly, this
company is impressive. All they have left to do is make their hysterical packaging more female
friendly. Although, the pokes at masculinity are outrageously funny. Give Duke Cannon a try –
and you have my word- the results are impressive.

I’ve been shopping at The Soap Opera since I was 14. Every time I walked past the
store front, the beautiful displays and scents drew me in ,and the products and staff kept me
coming back. When I started working at TSO, I knew that I was working somewhere special. My
coworkers are my closest friends, and I can’t imagine my life without meeting the amazing
people who make The Soap Opera such an amazing place to be. I am so lucky to be a part of
this family, and I am excited to watch this amazing business grow.
